Making Tracks

Bristol is known for being home to an authentic, independent music scene.

We are looking for the next generation of music makers to come and be part of the city’s cultural story!

Three renowned music institutions – Trinity, Basement Studios & Aspiration Creation Elevation (ACE) – have teamed-up to provide young people in the city with access to a diverse programme of free music-making experiences.

Over the two-year project,  2018-2020 – young people will have the chance to take part in a range of activities:

  • tailored 121 and small group music making sessions

  • mentoring, peer learning and joint-project activity

  • showcase events and performances

  • live-learning Q&As with artists & industry professionals

Our work focuses on working with those who music can make a real life-changing impact – we work with young people from all different backgrounds and ages, who may be struggling with confidence, behaviour, health, well-being or other personal cirucmstance.

Taking part in our activities programme, you will get a chance to:

  • improve your creative, expressive and technical musical ability and knowledge

  • build confidence, self-esteem and realise your aspirations

  • develop skills as music leaders, influencers, decision-makers and active citizens
